Muzaffarnagar, August 11: The Election Commission has slapped a notice on a BSP candidate for allegedly violating the model code of conduct, official sources said here today.
Returning Officer and Sub-divisional Magistrate of Morna, Ali Hasan Barni, issued the notice against Noor Salim Rana for violating the model code of conduct ahead of the August 18 bypolls in Morna assembly, they said.
Rana has been charged with holding election rally and using banners without permission from administration, they said.
