Breaking of silence welcome, act against tainted Ministers: TDP to PM

Hyderabad, July 01: Senior Telugu Desam Party leader Kodela Shiva Prasad on Thursday hailed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for breaking his silence on corrupt Ministers in his Cabinet and talking to media as a responsible leader of the country.

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, Mr Shiva Prasad said that the Prime Minister has at last opened his eyes. He further said that he hoped that the Prime Minister would take action on rampant corruption and against the guilty Ministers.

If the Prime Minister does not take action on corrupt Ministers, he would have indirectly admitted their corruption be guilty of indirect complicity, the TDP leader said.

Mr Shiva Prasad asked the Dr Manmohan Singh to suspend the corrupt Ministers immediately from his Cabinet.

He also asked the media to reveal the names of those who are behind the objections of inclusion of the Prime Minister’s Office in Lokpal Bill. “The Prime Minister himself had said that he has no objection for inclusion of his Office in Lokpal Bill,” the TDP leader pointed out.

Mr Shiva Prasad wondered why Dr Manmohan Singh, who himself had insisted for passing the Nuclear Bill in Parliament, has not insisting for introducing Lokpal Bill.

“Dr Manmohan Singh, as a responsible leader, should show the country the direction,” the TDP leader said.
