TDP HC has given nod to resign on T: Errabelli

Hyderabad, July 01: Reiterating that Telugu Desam Party leaders from Telangana are not behind than their Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi counterparts in agitating for the separate statehood demand, TDP Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Thursday stated that the party leaders are ready to sacrifice their posts for the cause of Telangana state.

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan after emerging out of well attended meeting of party leaders from Telangana, Mr Dayakar Rao said that TDP high command has given the nod for them to resign from their elected posts to push for the separate statehood demand.

As part of TDP’s intensified agitations for Telangana, massive public meetings would be organized across the region before July 15. These public meetings would also take the party’s struggle to the grassroots level, Mr Dayakar Rao said.

He said the party would stage agitations in front of Mandal kendras on July 20 demanding withdrawal of central paramilitary forces from the region and start agitations in all constituencies on August 1 demanding introduction of Telangana Bill in Parliament.

Mr Dayakar Rao disclosed that MPs, MLAs and MLCs from the region would meet on July 5 at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office and discuss on the 12 projects being constructed illegally on Krishna river by Maharashtra government, including the Babli project.

He said that the meeting would also submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister with evidence stating they are being constructed illegally, in violation of the Krishna Tribunal Award.

“If illegal dams are constructed on River Krishna, Telangana would become a desert soon,” Mr Dayakar Rao said.

The July 5 meeting would also discuss on deletion of Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders of 1975, the senior TDP leader revealed.
