Boys steal show in TS EAMCET-2017

Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) Chairman Papi Reddy today declared the results of Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET-2017) here on Monday. The State level admission test was conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on May 12.

Boys have maintained supremacy in the Engineering stream by achieving 74.75 pass percentage, 86.49% in Medical stream. In the Agriculture and Pharmacy, Gorantla Jayanth of Guntur topped the Engineering stream with 156 marks and a total of 74.75 percentage of candidates have been qualified. Ram Prasad got second rank with 156 marks and Sai Yasaswi Bharadwaj stood third with 155 marks. The rank cards can be downloaded from the official website from May 28.

A total of 2,20,251 students applied for various streams, including Engineering, Pharmacy and Agriculture. While over 1,41,190 students applied for Engineering, a total of 1,39,100 took the examination. A total of 79,061 students applied for pharmacy and 73,501 of them appeared for the entrance test. Of the top 10 ranks in Engineering stream, six ranks went to Andhra Pradesh. The Telangana State also secured five top ranks in Agriculture and Pharma stream test. Papireddy said boys fared well in the Engineering, Agriculture and Pharma tests conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on May 12. (NSS)
