BJP will form next government in Telangana: Amit Shah

BJP National President Amit Shah has expressed confident that his party would form the government in Telangana State after next elections.

Addressing the booth level workers at Theratpally village of Chandur Mandal in Nalgonda District on Monday, Amit Shah said he was quite impressed with the way Telangana unit of BJP has been fighting for the last two years on people’s issues. He said he had clear indications of BJP coming to power in next elections.

Amit Shah claimed that BJP was the largest party in the world with 11 crore member and governments at the Centre and in 13 States of India.

The BJP chief said that the many welfare schemes being implemented by the NDA Government at the Centre did not reach the lower levels in Telangana State. Citing an instance he said the Swachh Bharat campaign was yet to start in Theratpally village where he was addressing the meeting. He said several houses in this village were not having individual toilets. This proves that Central Government’s schemes were not being implemented properly in Telangana, he said.

Amit Shah urged upon the party workers to take Central Government’s schemes to all households in the State. He asked them to strengthen the party to ensure that Telangana registers growth on par with other States in the country.

After addressing the meeting, Amit Shah, along with other BJP leaders, had lunch with Dalits in SC Colony. Earlier, he had interaction with several women and elders in Theratpally village. He also unveiled the statue of Maisaiah who was killed by the Maoists.

Earlier in the day, Amit Shah was accorded a warm welcome at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad. Telangana BJP President Dr. K. Lakshman, National General Secretary Muralidhar Rao, floor leader in Assembly G. Kishan Reddy and other senior leaders were present.

Amit Shah proceeded to Nalgonda directly from the airport. He will address several meetings in Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency till May 24. (INN)
