Blast rocks Hezbollah member’s home in Lebanon

Beirut, January 13: An explosion rocked Wednesday the house of a Hezbollah member in southern Lebanon, wounding two of his children, Lebanese police said. According to the police an explosive device was detonated in front the entrance of Hezbollah member Mohammad Zreik’s residence in Kfar Fila in Iqlim al-Tuffah region, east of the southern port city of Sidon.

The blast caused damage and wounded Zreik’s 11-year old daughter, Diala, and five-year old son Hassan.

The explosion took place as Zreik’s children were trying to open their home’s main gate to head to school.

Security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the incident.

Hezbollah press office failed to confirm if Zreik is a member of the movement and said “they are still following the incident.”
