Mumbai, December 29: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief Shibu Soren is all set to become Jharkhand’s 7th Chief Minister.
Soren on Monday met BJP chief Nitin Gadkari in Mumbai to finalise the alliance.
“I have come to Mumbai with the intention of forming a stable government with the support of the BJP,” said Soren, while addressing the press at the BJP’s head quarters inMumbai after his meeting with Gadkari.
Criticising the central government, Soren said, “I did not get an opportunity to become the chief minister due to the connivance of various political parties and the situation is more or less same even now”.
Praising the newly elected BJP president, Nitin Gadkari, Soren added that he had heard much about the work done by Gandkari’s in Maharashtra and was aware of his good political background. “Jharkhand is a rich state of poor people. We hope to bring about development of the people with the strong support of the BJP,” he said.
Nitin Gadkari who was present at the press conference with BJP leader Gopinath Munde, declared that the swearing in ceremony would take place in Jharkhand on Wednesday between 10 o’clock and 12 o’clock in the morning.
