New Delhi, December 19: Bharatiya Janata party Parliamentry Board has formally announced Nitin Gadkari as its national president. Rajnath Singh has announced his resignation from the supreme post of the party. Rajnath singh said Lal Krishna Advani successfully filled the void left by Atal Bihari Vajpeyee but the void in the party created by the demise of Pramod Mahajan wasd a great loss to the party.
“I will take over as the new BJP national president at 3:30 pm after the formal declaration,” the Maharashtra party chief had told on Friday.
The BJP Parliamentary Board met here on Saturday, where the incumbent president Rajnath Singh formally announced his decision to quit from the post and new postings.
