BJP objects to Goa Assembly session on Ramnavami

Panaji, February 25: Opposition BJP has objected to a session of Goa Assembly on the occasion of Ramnavami next month and said it will raise the issue in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting.

“They (government) have forgotten that there is Ramnavami (on March 24). This is possible only in Ravan rajya,” Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar said yesterday, taking potshots at the Congress-NCP Government in the state.

The former Chief Minister said his party will bring the issue before the BAC, which decides the Assembly’s agenda.

The state Assembly is scheduled to meet from March 22 to March 26 for budget session.

He said BJP will not allow the government to hold the session on Ramnavami.

“The session starts at 11.30 am and we have to come to the office at 9 am to prepare for Question Hour.
