BJP MLA behind attack on Kanhaiya: MBT

Hyderabad: The Majlis Bachau Tahreek has alleged that BJP MLA Raja Singh was behind the attack on JNUSU President Kanhaiay Kumar during a meeting at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram in Narayanguda on Thursday.

In a letter written to Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, MBT leader and ex-Corporator Amjed Ullah Khan said that the alleged attacker, Antharam Naresh Kumar, the President of Gau Raksha Dal, was a close associate of Gosha Mahal MLA Raja Singh.

“The attack was a pre-planned attack by communal elements and in continuation of previous attack happened on Kanhaiya Kumar in Delhi. The attack which happened in Hyderabad is a total failure of the local police and also the role Intelligence Department, Govt of Telangana and Special Branch, Hyderabad in alerting about a possible attack is also to be investigated. Here the question arises as how come the local police allowed Antharam Naresh Kumar (President) “Gau Raksha Dal” along with his associate’s inspite of his past history of himself being involved in many communal activities and a close follower of Raja Singh MLA of BJP party,” he said.

Amjed Ullah Khan also alleged that the attack was carried out at the instance of Raja Singh. He said that the local police, under political pressure, was trying to hush up the case. He demanded independent enquiry into the attack. (INN)
