BJP disappointed with Guv’s address

Hyderabad: State BJP leaders today expressed their displeasure over the Governor’s address in the joint session of the Telangana State legislature.

Party MLC N. Ramchender Rao said the Governor had disappointed them completely. He said the Governor’s speech had nothing new, but a carbon copy of the speeches of the past government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He said there was no clarity over the fulfillment of poll promises made by the State government in the speech. He said the unemployed youth in the State were totally disappointed by the absence of a time-frame to implement the unemployed stipend promise made by the State government.

Rao also said there was no mention of Ayushmann Bharat scheme in the Governor’s address. He alleged that there was also no mention of any of the schemes being implemented by the Union government. The party’s lone MLA Raja Singh alleged that the Governor had merely read out the TRS party’s manifesto. He said the speech was nothing but old wine in a new bottle. He also said there was no mention of Hyderabad and its development in the speech. Alleging that the State government had cheated the people of the State in its earlier rule, Singh hoped that the present government would provide good rule to them.
