BJP deplores delay in issuing gazette notification on T State

BJP State president G Kishan Reddy today questioned inordinate delay in issuing a gazette notification even after the Telangana Bill was passed in Parliament recently.
Kishan Reddy said if the Telangana Political JAC leaders come forward with family members of Telangana martyrs, they would be given tickets by his party for the ensuing elections. He also said consultations to select candidates for the Assembly elections have begun. Referring to an alliance with the TDP, Kishan Reddy said his party would go it alone in the elections.
Another BJP leader and former Union minister Ch Vidyasagar Rao said in Karimnagar district they would welcome President’s rule in the State. Intellectuals will have pivotal role in re-building and development of a new Telangana State, he added. “We have some apprehensions on the “Appointed Date” and the President should take a decision soon.
Meanwhile, Telangana JAC chairman Prof. Kodandram said they would oppose merger of submersible villages and some others under Polavaram project in the Seemandhra region through an ordinance. The process of merging submersible villages should be stopped. (NSS)
