Former minister Dr P Shankar Rao has accused Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress Party of carrying out a campaign against Telangana despite the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here on Friday, Shankar Rao said that both TDP and YSRCP candidates would not be able to secure their deposits in Telangana region in next elections. He also claimed that both the parties were carrying out a propaganda that Congress has weakened in Seemandhra region. He said this was being done to distance people from the Congress party.
Shankar Rao also alleged that former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was trying to defame the Congress party for personal political gains. Describing him as an opportunist, he said that the people of Seemandhra region would teach him a fitting lesson.
He also claimed that Congress gave the best package for Seemandhra and it would ensure growth of the second Telugu State. (INN)
