Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday demanded that the State Government immediate clear the fee reimbursement dues to the private colleges.
Addressing a press conference here, Kishan Reddy said that lakhs of students, their parents and the staff of engineering and intermediate colleges were facing lot of hardship due to non-clearance of fee reimbursement dues. While the State Government cleared Rs. 600 crore in 2013-14 and Rs. 2,000 crore in 2014-15, nothing has been cleared in the current financial year. The students are being denied their certificates due to non-clearance of fee reimbursement dues. Similarly, nearly two lakh employees of private colleges did not get their salaries for the last several months.
Kishan Reddy urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to clear the fee reimbursement dues to protect the interest of students and employees.
The BJP leader also accused KCR of acting like a mute spectator to the suffering of farmers who lost the Khariff crop. He said that government took no steps to prevent suicides. He demanded that the government immediately extend financial assistance to the farmers to restore their lost confidence. (INN)
