Hyderabad: Former MLA from Sherilingampally Assembly segment M. Bikshapati Yadav, who has been demanding that the party high command field him from the seat, today announced that he would contest from his seat as an Independent candidate if the party high command failed to review its decision to allocate seat to grand alliance partner TDP.
Yadav made this announcement after meeting his supporters and followers at his residence. Speaking on the occasion, Yadav claimed that the party high command had asked him to launch his election campaigning and he was campaigning in the constituency since the last one month. “How the high command can do this to me? It has now announced that the seat was allotted to TDP as part of the grand alliance seat sharing arrangements.
“I once again request the party high command to review its decision. If it does not do so, I will have no option but to contest the elections as an independent from the seat,” he said. He reminded that he had worked so hard for making the party president Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting a grand success in the constituency in the past.
