Bihar not provided tip-off about Madni: Vijendra

Patna, July 06: The Bihar government today said it has not received any tip-off about LeT operative Omar Madni, a resident of the state, from the central intelligence agencies.

“No tip-off was provided by the central intelligence agencies about Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Madni, who was arrested by the Delhi Police recently,” state Home Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav told the assembly.

Replying to a short-notice question, Yadav said according to an official report, Madni was a resident of Balkatwa village in Madhubani district, however many years ago he moved to Nepal from where he was abetting terrorism.

He rubbished the reports that the state police were not taking any action despite being tipped-off by the central intelligence agencies about Madani.

Yadav also said that the state government was fully cooperating and Bihar would not be allowed to be used by the terrorists operating in Nepal.
