Hyderabad: The Commissioner of BC Welfare, Telangana, has informed that the BC Welfare Department has introduced a new scheme “Mahatma Jyothiba Phule BC Overseas Vidya Nidhi” and issued guidelines for the benefit of students belonging to Backward Classes for pursuing higher studies aboard from the 2016-17 academic year.
The Commissioner of BC Welfare also said verification of certificates will be held at 11 am on Tuesday and selection will be made at 11 am on Wednesday for the candidates, who have registered their names through online before December 15, 2016 and not attended at the time of certificate verification and interview. He also explained that the following documents are to be brought by the absentee students in two sets (Xerox copies) along with originals on January 11 at 11 am to the Office of the Commissioner, BC Welfare Department, 6th Floor, DSS Bhavan, Chacha Nehru Park, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
