Dhaka, Aug 7 : The government of Bangladesh has banned three-wheeler vehicles on 22 national highways in the country to prevent road accidents, said the country’s Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
According to the Daily Star, Quader said that by-lanes will be constructed beside the four-lane highways for the three-wheelers.
The initiative construct by-lanes were as per the direction of the prime minister, Quader said.
The national highways include several roads and bypasses in Dhaka, Gazipur, Mymensingh, Tangail, Comilla, Feni, Chittagong and Sylhet. (ANI)
