Mumbai, January 13: Thrashing the state government over hurting state’s image all over by granting subvention to liquor makers through food grains, Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray has criticized in his mouthpiece ‘Saamna’
He has quoted statement in critical manner by writing that the state is now feeling pride in liquor policy, as the state is suffering a drought-like situation due to food scarcity, and the government plans to make liquor from food grains like jowar, bajra and paddy. He called hapless for the state as well as for the people.
Even the matter has been taken to the Bombay High Court and it also slammed over the decision. Thackeray wrote that the government has no money to spend for education but ready to support liquor makers, it is unfortunate for the state.
