Johannesburg [South Africa]: Australian batsman George Bailey has heaped praise on stand-in captain David Warner by describing him as a `natural leader` as the latter guides the side in the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Warner was entrusted with the role of leading the side for the remaining three ODI games of the five-match series and two T20Is against Lanka after Steve Smith was rested keeping in mind the upcoming series against South Africa in October.
Bailey, who also captained the side in the absence of former skipper Michael Clarke, pointed out that Warner had always been a leader in terms of the way he plays the game and keeps the things simple, Sport24 reported.
Australia are currently leading the ODI series against Lanka 2-1 following their two-wicket win in the third match on Sunday.
The two sides will now lock horns on Wednesday at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Colombo. (ANI)
