The Role
Summary
• Under administrative direction, oversees, supervises, and coordinates the management of all stages of projects, including capital improvement projects, within an assigned division of the Engineering Services Department; coordinates assigned activities with various divisions, outside agencies, and the general public; and provides highly responsible and complex staff assistance to senior management. Positions may be assigned to the utilities or the Engineering Services Departments.
Main Duties
• Assumes responsibility for assigned services and activities related to the management of projects, including capital improvement projects, within an assigned division of the Engineering Services Department including design, bid, post-bid inspection, construction, and related functions and professional contracts; ensures completion of projects within budgetary, regulatory, and time constraints.
• Coordinates, manages, and monitors the organization, staffing, and operational activities for the assigned division’s construction and inspection program; responds to questions and inquiries from the general public, developers, contractors, engineering professionals, and City staff regarding Engineering Services construction projects.
• Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities; recommends and implements resulting policies and procedures.
• Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures; identifies resource needs; reviews with appropriate management staff; implements improvements; ensures construction files and records are appropriately maintained.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
• BSC in Architectural Engineering
• 12 years of experience on the same field
• Good Experience in Architectural Design
• Computer Proficient
• With good knowledge of latest software.
