B-town stars congratulate Sania Mirza on Wimbledon win

Mumbai : Bollywood celebrities including superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Bachchan congratulated tennis star Sania Mirza for becoming the first Indian to win the Wimbledon women’s doubles title with her Swiss partner Martina Hingis.

Shah Rukh, 49, took to Twitter to wish Mirza on her well deserved win.

“And happiness by @MirzaSania & Hingis. Well done well deserved well played. Love to you.”

Filmmaker-actor Farhan said, “Outstanding Win! Wow! Congratulations @MirzaSania @mhingis you both rocked centre court today!”

“Congratulations Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis for winning at Wimbledon. Sania you continue to make us proud,” actor Abhishek wrote.

“Happiness, Excitement, Thrill. Pride- Sania you super woman. Congratulations @MirzaSania & @mhingis for winning the Wimbledon,” actor Riteish Deshmukh said.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha said Mirza’s victory was an “honour”.

“Wooo hooo for @MirzaSania and @mhingis!! What a victory, what an honour!”

“Bone crunching stuff. Can’t contain my joy! @MirzaSania /Hingis,” actor Boman Irani tweeted.

Actress Huma Qureshi, who was present at Wimbledon, shared a selfie with her brother, Saqib Saleem.

Actor Rahul Bose called Sania “an inspiration”.
