Lucknow, December 02: With the Allahabad High Court deadline expiring this month, the two main petitioners in the Ayodhya tile suit are expected to file their review petition on the verdict in the Supreme Court this month.
While the Sunni Central Waqf Board ia expected to file a petition in the third week of December, the Nirmohi Akhara could file ahead of them.
The third petitioner Ramlala Virajman had already filed a petition in the apex court staking claim on the entire disputed area.
On September 30, the special full bench of the Allahabad High Court had ordered division of the disputed area into three parts to be given to Sunni Central Waqf Board, Nirmohi Akhara and Ramalala Virajman.
The court had given three months time to the petitioners and the respondents to file their objections in the higher court.
While the Muslim sides have opposed verdict on the grounds that the court had based its verdict on faith, the two Hindu sides are claiming the entire land for construction of a grand Ram temple.
Sunni Central Waqf Board counsel Zafarayeb Jilani said here today that a battery of lawyers were preparing the petition to be filed in the Supreme Court.
”We will certainly file the case by the third week of December before the Supreme Court goes on winter holidays,” he said.
