Ayodhya title suit: AIMPLB to meet in Lucknow on Oct 16

Lucknow, October 14: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) will hold a meeting on October 16 to chalk out a new policy on the Ayodhya title suit after the September 24 Allahabad High Court verdict.

There would be six topics of discussion, but the board would mainly focus on the Ayodhya issue, the AIMPLB sources said today. During the meet, the board will also think about filing a petition in the Supreme Court against the High Court’s verdict.

Babri Masjid Action Committee convenor Jafaryab Jilani has rejected the offer of talks with oldest litigant Mohammad Hashim Ansari, saying that the picture would be clear after two days as the board has decided to move the apex court.

Mr Jilani said Mohammad Ansari was personally making such efforts.

”Neither Sunni Central Waqf Board nor Muslim Personal Law Board authorised him for talks for an amicable solution to the issue,” he alleged.

It is an international issue which can be sorted out only by court,he added.
