Bangalore, January 07: The ongoing attacks on Indian students have disturbed the relations between India and Australia, and stepping up to guard the situation, government has asked the parents avoid the country to send their wards.
External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna has appealed to parents not to send their children to Australia unless it’s a specialised or high-tech course.
Krishna affirmed that he would like to advise parents to reconsider their decision of sending children to study in places like Australia. He said if the course is innovative or highly specialized, then it would be explicable.
His warning is seen as to bring down the bitterness between the two nations, after death of one Indian student in the country.
The external affairs ministry had earlier issued an advisory to Indian students in Australia, asking them not to travel alone or carry a lot of cash.
