Religious and modern education a must, parents told
Hyderabad, June 22 (Siasat News): “Demanding dowry and financial exchange is a sin. It is also illegal to accept the money as ‘Jode ki Rakham.’ Solemnizing the nikah in a mosque is permitted provided the sanctity of the mosque is maintained. Contract marriage is illegal as per law of sharia. Women are not allowed to near a dead person if they are not clean. Copying in examination is illegal and the namaz shown on TV could not be followed to offer your own.”
These were the words of the women Muftis and Ulemas when they expressed their views in a debate conducted at Urdu Ghar Moghlpura under the aegis of Jametul-Mominaat on its annual Faqahi debate. Sameera Khatoon commenced the debate with the Qiraat of Hafiza Imroza followed by a naat. The debate was compered by muftiya Amena Ata Mominaati.
On this occasion, Prof. Rehana Sultana, director, department of Women Studies, MANUU said that in today’s scenario, both religious and modern education is the need of the hour.
As far as the worldly affairs are concerned, the modern education meet only those requirements to meet the religious necessities, religious education plays a vital role. This was followed by Muftiya Rizwana Zareen’s words, who is none other but the principal of Jametul Mominaat.
She said that taking money and lending money on interest is not permitted in Islam. It is obligatory that one should not attend the feasts of moneylenders as their way of income is doubtful. Not only this, she said that do not be friendly with moneylenders as he is under the constant curse of Allah.
Alima Nazima Aziz said that women who are medically unfit due to some or the other reason e.g. a major operation and not in a position to bow (rukoo) and offer Sajda properly, they are permitted to offer their namaaz with only making the gestures.
She further said that in the hierarchy of the father, both son and daughter have their legal share. It is not justified to deprive the girl (daughter) to be a partner of the father’s property. Sayeeda Fatima, on this occasion, said that those who demand Jode ki rakham are not true Muslims and violating the laws of sharia set by Islam.
The true Muslims should not attend valima feast of violators. . Alima Tahmeena Tahseen said that it is permitted that one should write the verses of holy Quran in the form of Taveez and recite the same in order to get some one cured. Women should avoid the fraud Alims.
Alima Amena Batool said that the boys who are desirous to get married any particular girl, are allowe4d to have a glance to their would be wives as Islam don’t deny this much liberty.
On the subject of Taravih in the holy month of Ramzan, she said that women are allowed to offer their namaz behind a woman Imam provided the voice of the recitation do not go out of the mosque.
On this occasion, the anniversary copy of the religious magazine ‘Al-Mominaat’ was also released and the distribution of prizes also took place.
