Special Secretary of Minorities Department, Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, informed that Govt. of Telangana has decided to give 1000 Autorickshaws to unemployed Auto Drivers belonging to Minority Communities. The cost of an Auto is nearly 1.4 lakh. Govt. will provide 50% subsidy and the rest will be arranged as loan from banks. Govt. allocated Rs. 82.4 crore for this scheme in 2014-15 which has been deposited in the account of Minorities Finance Corporation.
Mr. Omer Jaleel has also written a letter to transport commissioner seeking permission to issue 1000 Autorikshaws.
