Attempt-to-murder case against corporator

Hyderabad, August 14: An attempt-to-murder case has been registered against Congress corporator from Ramanthapur Parameshwar Reddy by Uppal police on Friday after the mother of an youngster complained that her son was attacked by the corporator.

Earlier, the corporator registered a similar case against the youngster who was arrested by the police.

According to police, Parameshwar Reddy was returning home on Thursday night when he noticed three persons with lethal weapons near his house at Srirama Colony in Ramanthapur. The corporator immediately alerted the Uppal police who nabbed two of them. They were R Sujith Reddy and T Sai Ram. Police recovered a sickle from them.

Parameshwar Reddy told police that he suspected the assailants were sent by the killers of his brother, Jagadiswar Reddy.

This morning, Sujith Reddy’s parents — Vanaja and Sudhakar Reddy — lodged a complaint with the Uppal police that Parameshwar Reddy tried to kill their son while he was pasting posters in connection with Bonalu festival in the locality. Police registered cases against the two youngsters and also the corporator and are investigating.
