ATS submits Pune blast report, claims perpetrators identified

Mumbai, April 07: Maharashtra ATS today submitted its investigation report on the Pune blast to the state government claiming the perpetrators of the bombing that killed 17 people have been identified and their arrest would be made soon.

The report was submitted by newly-appointed ATS chief Rakesh Maria to the home department and was then forwarded to the Centre, ATS sources said but refused to disclose the identity of the suspects.

According to the sources, terror group Indian Mujahideen (IM) is suspected to be behind the blast and the suspects would be arrested in a day or two.

State Home Minister R R Patil had told the Legislative Council yesterday that the investigating agency had identified the suspects and more details would be disclosed after their arrest.
