Arrest warrant against MP minister

Datia (MP), February 12: A local court has ordered that Madhya Pradesh Parliamentary Affairs Minister Norottam Mishra be arrested and produced before it for allegedly giving wrong information in his affidavit during the assembly elections.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate B K Singh issued an arrest warrant against Mishra yesterday under sections 420 and 193 of IPC and section 125 of People’s Representative Act on the charges of giving wrong affidavit, fraud and enticing voters.

Singh also asked the police to produce him before the court by March 11 while taking cognisance of a complaint filed by Bhanupratap Singh Bundela, a resident of Hathlai village of Datia district.
