Army not to give NOCs for civilians constructing houses

Hyderabad, July 05: The Army on Monday said that henceforth, civilians applying for No Objection Certificates for construction of houses from the Local Millitary Authority will have to apply directly to the concerned Municipal Corporations or Panchayats.

A statement issued by the Defence Wing said that as per the orders of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the defence authority have to give NOCs for construction of houses on private lands contiguous to defence land.

Based on this, the Local Military Authority (LMC) (Quartermaster Branch, Headquarters Andhra Sub Area) was issuing NOCs to civilian applicants of twin cities.

The Army HQ has issued a new policy guidelines regarding issue of NOC by Local Military Authority (LMC) in this regard: The highlights of the fresh guidelines are that no NOC’s will be given to individuals applying to the LMA directly.

All applications will be routed through concerned Municipal Corporations or Panchayat. The NOCs will be given to concerned GHMC/Municipality/ Panchayats by LMA after scrutiny, the statement said.
