Hyderabad, January 08: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said the state continued to be one of the best investment destinations in the country.
”Andhra Pradesh today stands at the top, thanks to the pro-active policies of the state government,” an official statement quoting Mr Reddy said, on the eve of the three-day Global Partnership Summit which would begin from January 11.
The release said in order to make Andhra Pradesh the investment magnet of the country, the Chief Minister had been striving to make the state one of the best investment destinations.
”The Chief Minister believes that while the government has a role to play in the creations of jobs, it is only the private sector that can create the jobs needed for the growing unemployment populace,” it said.
The statement also said that Mr Reddy was of the view that the government’s principal role in industrial promotion was that of a facilitator which would be good for the investment climate in the state.
