AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his delegation, who are on a visit to China reached Guiyang, the capital of the Guizhou province of the Southwest China late yesterday night.
Early this morning, the Chief Minister held a breakfast meeting with Mr. Qin Ru Pei, the State Vice Governor, Guizhou Province, Guiyang City and Zong Wen Mayor, Guiyang City. The Vice governor explained to the Chief Minister and his delegation about the government structures in the Guizhou Province. Appreciating the green cover in the Guizhou Province, the Chief Minister asked the vice governor to share their models and practices so as to replicate them in AP.
Guizhou Province in China and Guntur district in AP share a commonality. Both produce special variety of red chilli renowned world over. Guntur in Andhra Pradesh is famous for its Chilli production. It has a huge demand throughout the world. Guizhou province and AP can collaborate to increase Chilli production,” the Chief Minister said.
Soon after the breakfast meeting, the Chief Minister held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Eric, Vice President, Mobile Manufacturing Director OPPO. Mr. Eric was accompanied by Speter, Logistics Department and Jone Managing Director from OPPO Mobile Manufacturers. The OPPOP executives showed interest to invest Rs 1,000 crore which would create employment to 25,000 people.
Later, the Chief Minister along with the delegation went on a city tour accompanied by the Mayor. They visited the biggest data centers in China run by China Unicorn. China Unicorn is a government owned company. The Mayor showed a short film to explain the working of the data. Later, they visited Foxconn facility. This facility manufactures five crore mobile handsets per annum.
The CM and the AP delegation visited the University area in Guizhou Province where more than two lakh students study. The area has six universities and many vocational training centers. Later, they went around the University campus interacting with students from Guiyang Medical University, Guizhou Normal University, Innovation & Entrepreneurship University. they also visited GICC Industrial Park and also the medical data center. GICC hosted lunch to the visiting delegation. CEO of GICC said that his company is interested to have a strong presence in AP and hoped that relation between GICC and AP deepens. (NSS)
