Kottayam, February 14: Reliance ADAG chairman Anil Ambani and his mother Kokilanben Ambani today offered prayers at the famous Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala in Pathanamthitta district.
They flew into the Nedumbasseri airport from Mumbai last evening and reached Pathanamthitta by a chartered helicopter.
From there they proceeded to Pampa in a car on their way to the hill shrine, official sources said here.
Two other officials of the company also accompanied them.
The mother and son had the customary ‘kettumurukku’ (the filling of the offerings for Lord Ayappa) at the Ganapati temple at Pampa last night and ascended the Neelimala with the ‘Irumudikkettu'(sacred bundle)on their heads, the sources said.
Principal secretary to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, T K A Nair, accompanied by wife Chandralekha, son and grandchild also reached the hill shrine last evening, the sources said.
