Visakhapatnam: Necessary arrangements are being made for the fifth and final ODI between India and New Zealand to be played at the ACA-VDCA cricket stadium here on October 29, officials said today.
“Officials of Andhra Cricket Association-Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association today met officials of the district administration to form various committees to organise the ODI match,” BCCI Vice President Gokaraju Gangaraju told reporters here.
Gangaraju, also ACA Secretary, said India and England will play a Test at the stadium from November 17.
“Around 5,000 children from municipal and private schools will be allowed to watch the Test for all five days,” he said.
Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner T Yoganand said nearly 1,000 personnel will be deployed for security.
The organisers have arranged two private grounds for parking purpose and the Road Transport Corporation will arrange buses for the public to reach the stadium, he added.
Officials said of the 15,000 tickets to be sold, 12,000 tickets will be sold through the Mee-Seva and E-Seva centers and the remaining will be available at AC-VDCA stadium and other counters here.
