Amrutha creates new world record

A new world record has been created in the traditional dance form of Kuchipudi recently at Tyagaraya Gana Sabha by seven-year old T.V.S. Amrutha. ‘Bala Sahitya Parishat’ conducted this ‘Chitra Nritya’ which is a Kuchipudi dance form.
Chi. Amrutha performed rare feats like ‘Simhanandini dance’ by drawing the picture of the Lion while dancing and by dancing standing on the edge of a plate holding lamps in her hands and on her head and dancing balancing on a single leg.
Prof. Elluri Shiva Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University, admired Chi. Amrutha saying that by performing on six different dance numbers, like Bala Gopala Tarangam, Swagatham Krishna, Okapari Okapari, Dasavataralu, Brahmanjali in 60 minutes, she created a world record.
Dr Lakshmi Bhaskar, Deputy Medical Superintendent, NIMS, admired the co-operation and technical support of Surabhi organization in enhancing the beauty of the performance where the background settings were changing in accordance with the themes of the dance which was a novel experience for the audience.
Dr Venkat, founder, Nritya Darpana, congratulated Amrutha for efficiently performing rare feats, which reminded the audience of complex circus feats, which were not attempted previously by anyone in the young achievers category in the field of dance.
T.V.S. Amrutha, who is studying Class III in St. Ann’s High school, is giving dance performances since her 4th year and has received many awards and rewards. Dasari Venkata Ramana, Principal Secretary, Bala Sahitya Parishath appreciated the vigorous practice of Chi.Amrutha, which were designed by Chokkapu Venkata Ramana were wonderfully showcased by Chi.Amrutha.
Bingi Narendra Goud, G. Swarnasri, Ratnakar Sarma, Shyam Jadugar, representatives from the organization of Wonder Book of World Records, Genius Book of Records, State Book of Records, Telangana Book of Records handed over confirmation letters approving the successful performance of the ‘Chitra Nritya’ dance form to Chi. Amrutha.
Dr Voleti Parvateesham, renowed poet, presided over the function and felicitated Chi. Amrutha with title of ‘Chitra Nritya Praveena’. Smt.Vani Ramana, her Guru, was also honored on the occasion. Dr Chokkapu Venkata Ramana, Gundu Hanumantha Rao, Paidi Mani Ramakrishna, Dr Tadepalli Ananth, Smt. Jayasree, Surabhi Rayalu were also present.(NSS)
