The proposed visit of BJP national president Amit Shah has been postponed, according to MLC N Ramchender Rao here today.
Speaking to the media at State party office here on Thursday, Ramchender Rao said Hyderabad visit of Amit Shah has been postponed on the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister asked Amit Shah to postpone his meeting as he has to coordinate with NDA allies in view of some important bills likely to come up in Parliament, the MLC said.
Fresh dates of Amit Shah’s visit would be announced after party executive meeting scheduled to be held on April 15 and 16, he said. Replying to a query, Ramchender Rao alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has violated the tradition by not offering “Pattu vastralu” in Bhadrachalam temple. KCR’s grandson Himanshu offered the robes on behalf of KCR. It was blatant violation of protocol also, the BJP leader said, adding that the TRS government should function in a democratic manner and follow decades’ old traditions. (NSS)
