In view of the 10th IPL Season, the SOT concentrated on IPL cricket bettings and selling of IPL Tickets in black market.
On Wednesday, during the inaugural match, the SOT conducted raids at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium and took 17 persons into custody while they were found selling 10th IPL first match between Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) v/s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) tickets in black at higher rates and seized 43 tickets and Rs 43,640 cash and handed the same over to the Uppal Police Station. The raids were conducted under the supervision of K. Narsing Rao, I/c SOT, Rachakonda by G. Naveen Kumar, Inspector, SOT Malkajgiri, SIs Ramulu, Hafeezuddin and staff participated. (NSS)
