New Delhi, August 08: India’s emerging leg-spinner Amit Mishra is eager to shed his ‘Test specialist’ image and cement his place in the one-day side, saying that his improved batting will prove handy in the shorter version.
The Haryana spinner, who is among the 30 probables picked for the ICC Champions Trophy, is optimistic about his chances in making the final squad.
“I want to remove the tag of Test specialist. For the last two seasons, I have performed well in the shortest format of the game, which is more challenging then the ODI,” said the chubby leggie, referring to his success for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League.
“I have worked on my batting and I think I can be very handy in 50 over games as well,” he told IBN 7 channel.
