New Delhi : DocsApp, a mobile app that connects patients to specialist doctors via chat or call in less than 30 minutes, has been declared as the medical app of the year in the emerging apps category.
The award was presented by Amazon in association with Facebook and Sequoia capital. The AWS mobility award is one of the most prestigious awards in the startup circle. The award had industry bigwigs like, Anandmoy Roychowdhary; Director Technology, Sequoia capital, Ravi Gururaj; Founder and CEO, Qikpod, etc, on its jury.
All startups went through rigorous interviews before bagging the awards. The grand finale ceremony was held on June, 1st, 2017.
“This award is the reflection of the remarkable bond between our 1 million users and us. We’ve consoled every cry in the wee hours of the night, we’ve lent a helping hand to people far and wide, we’ve connected ailing patients to the top doctors in the country,” said CEO DocsApp, Satish Kannan.

DocsApp has clocked over one million installs on the Google Playstore and has consistently clenched its number one position on the store.
The app is growing at a rapid pace with a 25 percent mom growth and has established itself as the largest online hospital in the country; specialist doctors are available 24×7, one can even order medicines and book lab tests using the app. (ANI)
