Amar’s resignation not accepted: Mulayam

Kolkata, January 10: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today said he has not accepted the resignation of Amar Singh from three key posts of the party.

“I have not accepted Singh’s resignation as I have a deep relation with him. Everything will be fine and settled,” Yadav told reporters at the airport here.

53-year-old Amar Singh had resigned as SP General Secretary, Spokesman and Member of Parliamentary Board on health grounds on January 6.

Referring to the resignation of Sanjay Dutt from the post of general secretary of the party yesterday, Yadav said the matter would also be settled.

Yadav came to the city to visit ailing former chief minister of West Bengal, Jyoti Basu.
