Akram to finally attend PCB inquiry on Oz debacle

Karachi, February 23: After skipping the first two hearings due to his television commitments, former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has finally made himself available for the proceedings of the PCB inquiry committee evaluating the national team’s poor show in Australia.

A senior official of the board said Wasim had conveyed to the board he would be available now on for the hearings.

“He will be attending the hearing of the committee scheduled on Wednesday,” the official said.

The committee which is headed by Pakistan Cricket Board chief operating officer Wasim Bari and includes team manager Yawar Saeed and PCB’s legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi, has held two hearings in which it has questioned coach Intikhab Alam, former manager Abdul Raquib, assistant coach, Aaqib Javed and some players.
