Lucknow: The BJP on Wednesday, Dec 8 asked the Akhilesh Yadav-led government in Uttar Pradesh to do a “reality check” of its tall claims in the name of development.
Claiming that the planning board meetings in various districts have not taken place in the last many months, BJP leader Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that Yadav was fooling people of the state by his false claims of development.

“If this is the case in high-profile districts like Ghaziabad, which is a part of the NCR — National Capital Region, one can make out the condition the rest of the districts,” he said.
The BJP leader also cited statistics on how funds to various departments, allocated in the budget over the last three years, was not spent.
Officials confirmed that the board meetings in these two districts have not been held in the past eight months.
