Ailing Rosaiah misses PM function at Tirupati

Hyderabad, September 02: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah missed the official functions attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at Tirupati today due to viral fever.

78-year-old Rosaiah was supposed to fly to Tirupati along with Governor E S L Narasimhan, but could not do so as he was down with viral fever and the doctors advised him to take rest for the day.

“A team of doctors examined him. The Chief Minister was suffering from simple viral fever and the doctors advised him rest till tomorrow morning. There is no need to worry,” principal secretary (Health) P V Ramesh told reporters here.

“We conducted various tests like blood, x-ray, urine and everything was normal. We also conducted tests for H1N1, dengue and chikungunya and the results were negative for all of them,” director of the premier state-run Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) K Prasada Rao said.
