Johannesburg : Sergio Aguero netted a scintillating hat-trick as Manchester City capped off a memorable week in grandeur after thrashing title holders Chelsea 3-0 in the Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentine international was ably supported by Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who played a key role in two of Aguero’s goals either side of half-time, Sport24 reported.
Aguero scored his third goal with an 80th-minute penalty following an incident that saw Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois sent off.
Earlier this week, City reached the semi-finals of the Champions League by knocking out Paris Saint-Germain.
With the win, City moved past Arsenal into third place but the Gunners will regain that position if they beat Crystal Palace on Sunday. (ANI)
