Congress leader T Jagga Reddy has demanded that the State government acquire lands from farmers as per Land Acquisition Act of 2013.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Jagga Reddy alleged that the government was acquiring lands as per G.O.No.123. Making it clear that his party will stand by the Mallannasagar project oustees, Jagga Reddy expressed happiness on Court’s verdict that the government implement Land Acquisition Act-2013.
It may be recalled that the High Court directed the State government today to acquire lands as per Land Acquisition Act-2013. The High Court delivered this verdict in response to 70 members of Mallannasagar project oustees. The Court said government has to give ex gratia to the farmers, who approached Court. The Court also asked the State government to file a counter on the issue. (NSS)
