Kolkata, April 12: Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has described as ‘uncivilised’ the comment Kerala Chief Minister V S Achutanandan made about Youth Congress leader Rahul Gandhi calling him an ‘Amul baby’.
“I do not react to such uncivilised comments. It speaks of the taste of the individual,” he said at a meet-the-press programme here.
On Sunday, Mr Achutanandan had said that Rahul Gandhi’s visit to poll-bound Kerala was for campaigning for ‘Amul babies’ as he was himself an ‘Amul baby’.
His comment followed a remark of the Congress youth icon, who wondered why a nonagenarian man was still contesting elections.
