Jaipur, August 20: Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah today assured the Rajasthan government that every village in the state would be provided power within next five years.
Abdullah, who was here as chief guest on the occasion of ‘Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Divas’, said his ministry would soon chalk out an action plan for the same.
“My ministry would make an action plan soon to provide power to those villages of Rajasthan which are not connected through grids and hence not getting electricity,” he said.
“I want Rajasthan to show the path to the rest of the country in regard to power generation from non-conventional resources, and for that I assure for all kind of assistance from my ministry,” he said.
