Coimbatore, July 25: Ending his five-day long ordeal, a 12-year old boy from Uttar Pradesh, who was abandoned at the railway station here after being kidnapped by two persons, was today handed over to his uncle by the Railway Police.
Ayush, hailing from Orai in Uttar Pradesh, was found abandoned at the railway station here on July 23 by Railway Protection Force personnel.
On being questioned, the boy, who only speaks Hindi, told police that he was abducted by two persons, while playing near his house and forced to board Gorakhpur-Trivandrum Raptisagar Express on July 21, RPF Inspector N Kesavadas said.
Ayush said that he was not able to follow his abductors’ language and was made to hide beneath the seat and taken to toilets to avoid detection by ticket examiners or other railway officials.
