New Delhi [India]: Arrival of foreign tourists in India is on rise this year. According to travel meta search engine ixigo, over 8.22 lakh international tourists are expected to visit India in October this year. The number is 30 percent higher in comparison to last month.
Usually, August to march is considered as on-season for tourism and travel sector. With beginning of festive season, traction of both international and domestic travelers on flights is rising. Ixigo says that, as Navratri, Durga Puja, Dusshera and Diwali are falling in the same month, domestic flight tourists for October month is expected to be around 96.6 lakhs by end of October this year.
